About me

I’m Christian…

...born in Germany, though also with the Finnish nationality, I love to travel the world. I take on adventures wherever possible and love to photograph the incredible landscapes our lovely planet has to offer. I really fell in love with the Himalayan mountains in Nepal and the peaceful lakes in Finland (except for the mosquitos).

My photography "career" began in 2012, when I bought my first own camera.

After my A-levels I have been to Canada for 3 weeks, and without any clue of photography. In retrospective it's a shame I didn't take photographs back then, but I started shortly after.

My first camera was a Canon 60d, and I stuck to Canon since then. I changed from a DSLR to a mirrorless camera a few years ago to reduce the weight of my camera bag.

Recently I switched systems and purchased a Fujifilm X-H2S mirrorless camera.

I love wide angle photography and struggle a little at the tele end. I try to work on that and get more into the intimate landscapes. Also I started photographing wildlife this year.

I have traveled some really incredible countries like Nepal (2017) and China (2019) and walked the streets of some awesome towns and cities like London (2022), Prague (2023) and Hong Kong (2019).

I love hiking and getting out into nature. The freedom I feel when standing on a mountain-top or the coastline of the Normandy is all I could ask for. To explore new locations and work on new compositions of known places is always challenging, but in a good way. It keeps me on track and improving my photography.
